Seeking Cork accom in July
Well done on the site - see the new Sligo one too! Desperately seeking somewhere to rent within commuting distance of UCC for the first two weeks of July 2007! Two of us are studying a Field Ecology Course in Cork, and have a summer school in the first two weeks of July. We had booked a house in Ballincollig, but they have just let us down, and we are now desperately seeking somewhere to rent within commuting distance of UCC for the first two weeks of July. We have two cocker spaniels, which we would like to bring if possible. We would happily consider a house swop for our cottage in very scenic North Sligo! Many thanks, Miriam ps Well done on the site - see the new Sligo one too!

Hi Mike, Have been trying to contact you for as long as I'm a member since 2004! always had bad luck with your email address. After years of never seeing a Pigeon or Dove around me in Bantry or Durrus, I now hear the call of the Collared Dove behind us. I know of a pair in Schull; so could this be a youngster from there d'you think or how far would their own range be? any ideas?

Help?
Hi! My partner and I would be interested in helping with the bird counting in Clonakilty. :) We've just moved to Dunmanway, but spend a fair bit of time with my parents in Clon area, and Ross too - so we're always happy to help out. xx

Swallows
Good Day Too You. Each year we have a lot of of swallows coming back to to nest. About 50 left last year but only 8 or so have come back this year. Do you have any idea why? It is sad not to see them, and we have empty nests. Also why when we have sheds, no farming, just horses in a stable. The rest of the sheds are open, including a hay barn, but we have in 18 years never seen or heard an owl. We are in Nursetown out in country and have often wondered why. Is there any reason why,we do have plenty of mice around, who we leave THEM live in peace even rescuing them from out cats when possible. Many thanks for any information. Mel and Kay. Jamieson.
